The dense forest which is the dwelling place of sloth bear and more than 200 species of birds is located in the Satpuda Mountain Ranges. The forest is covered with dense bamboo and teak trees in addition to medicinal plants. It's enthralling experience to watch leopards, flying squirrels, deer and so on along with sloth bears in this wildlife sanctuary which has become a resource for wildlife trekkers.

From July to March month

The dykes and huge reservoirs of Karjan Dam and Narmada Dam situated amongst mountain ridges, cliffs, islands and peninsulas magnify the scenic beauty of this sanctuary.

Tips

It is advisable to take permission of the forest department having office on the palace road before entering in the sanctuary.
